Dear partners,
It is my pleasure to greet you as the CEO of BaltCap. I am truly honoured to join the talented BaltCap team, and excited to become a member of the vibrant Baltic PE & VC ecosystem.

My entry to the private equity sector brings more than 20 years of managerial experience in the Baltic financial industry, having also worked in the fund management business. As the saying goes, true love never fades.

I have strong faith in private equity. The sector greatly contributes to local economies by giving investors access to opportunities not available on public markets. In addition to generating substantial returns, it also allows us to have a meaningful impact on the Baltic communities where we invest.

Over the years, BaltCap has made a significant difference. With more than 120 investments creating jobs for approximately 15,000 people, we have backed the sustainable growth of hundreds of local businesses—an impressive achievement.

In my new role, I am committed to leading the company in its transition from challenge to change. My focus will be on further strengthening the corporate governance and risk management systems, with a roadmap centred on operational efficiency and excellence to ensure sustainable investment growth.

I am thrilled to be part of the next chapter in BaltCap’s story. I look forward to working with all of you to build local companies into international business champions!

Ege Metsandi
Chief Executive Officer
