Growth Fund Partner
Marek Kiisa (born 1968) is a BaltCap Growth Fund Partner. He is also the Managing Partner of Astrec Invest, a private equity and venture capital company founded in 2006. Prior to that, he worked as the Senior Executive of the Swedish listed company Scanditron (owned by ElektronikGruppen) and Finnish technology company Oy Scantarp AB.
Marek is currently participating in the Supervisory Boards of the following companies: Astrec Baltic (telecom), Eesti Ekspress AS (media) and Astrec Data (data center). He is a member of the Kauffman Fellowship Society in the United States and one of the founders of the EstBAN Business Angels in Estonia and NordBAN network of Business Angels in the Nordics.
Marek has an eMBA degree from Estonian Business School and a Master's degree from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
BaltCap has launched BaltCap Infrastructure Fund (BIF) with the planned size of €100 million. The fund will invest into infrastructure development across Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.
BaltCap launched a new regional fund, BaltCap Growth Fund (BGF) to provide growth capital to small and medium-sized companies in all three Baltic countries.
BaltCap received a gold level Quality Label in the 9th Estonian Responsible Business Index 2017 in Estonia. This is the first time for BaltCap to receive the highest, gold level quality label showing our continuing contribution to further develop CSR matters and make it a top priority also among our portfolio companies.
