Growth Fund Partner
Marek Kiisa (born 1968) is a BaltCap Growth Fund Partner. He is also the Managing Partner of Astrec Invest, a private equity and venture capital company founded in 2006. Prior to that, he worked as the Senior Executive of the Swedish listed company Scanditron (owned by ElektronikGruppen) and Finnish technology company Oy Scantarp AB.
Marek is currently participating in the Supervisory Boards of the following companies: Astrec Baltic (telecom), Eesti Ekspress AS (media) and Astrec Data (data center). He is a member of the Kauffman Fellowship Society in the United States and one of the founders of the EstBAN Business Angels in Estonia and NordBAN network of Business Angels in the Nordics.
Marek has an eMBA degree from Estonian Business School and a Master's degree from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
Estonian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (ESTVCA) has elected BaltCap partner Kristjan Kalda as a new Chairman. The new Management Board was elected for the next 2 years.
Baltic Coffee Holding (BCH), a leading vending and coffee service company in the Baltics (currently operating under Selecta brand) has acquired Estonia's coffee service company Vending Automaadid.
On October 5, Enterprise Estonia (EAS) held an award ceremony to recognize the most prominent and successful companies in Estonia. BaltCap portfolio company Magnetic MRO won an award in two different categories - The Company of the Year as well as The Exporter of the Year 2017.
